Respite & overnight
Planned breaks for family carers, plus overnight waking or sleeping cover whenever you need it.

What respite & overnight looks like with us.
Family carers do extraordinary work — and they need rest. Respite care steps in for a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks, so you can take a break confident your loved one is in safe hands.
Overnight cover is available as a 'sleeping night' (the carer is there and wakes if needed) or a 'waking night' (the carer is awake throughout — appropriate for clients needing repositioning, medication or close monitoring).
We also provide emergency respite, often within 24 hours, when something unexpected makes care impossible to deliver.
Everything in the package.
- Short respite (a few hours up to a day)
- Extended respite (one night to several weeks)
- Sleeping-night cover

- Emergency respite (often within 24h)
- Full continuity of the existing care plan

Answers to the things families ask us first.
Can't see your question? Our coordinator will happily talk it through — no obligation.
Talk to a coordinatorWhat's the difference between sleeping and waking nights?
Sleeping nights: the carer is in the home and wakes if needed (up to twice). Waking nights: the carer is awake the whole shift.
How quickly can you arrange emergency respite?
We aim for 24 hours; in many cases we can cover the same day.
Can respite turn into ongoing care?
Yes — many families start with respite and move to regular visits or live-in.
